I hear your laugh bellow in a lazy afternoon swell and a two-tone groan that is this town’s heartbeat. A sound of safety. A warning to others.

The nights are silent, heavy — and the Air is thick and sexy.  The smog of the city creeps across to press itself against our new life, taunting the fantasy in my head.

It feels like a solid wall of nothing.
